ARTIST BIOS
DJ Jacques brings an eclectic sound to the people. It’s a bold improv of vinyl he calls “matilanamusiki” (Duala language of Cameroon). It’s funk for your body and intuitive beats for your soul. Once the needle drops, you can listen, vibe, or dance for enjoyment.
Jamal Awadallah is a Palestinian-American multidisciplinary artist based in the Twin Cities. He raps under the moniker – AWU! – and has an album out – For the Love of Rhyme! – you can find on streaming services.
TaliaKnight is a beatmaker, DJ, graphic designer and illustrator from Chile, based in Minneapolis. She has been sharing her Latin American culture through music around the Twin Cities since 2016. Her love and knowledge of music extends to many different genres and cultures, especially hip-hop and electronic, which are the main influences for her personal production work. You can catch her on the radio every Thursday on KRSM 98.9 FM 5–7pm on her show “Beats, Sleep, Repeat.”
