Synopsis:
Om Amira is the protagonist of this heartrending documentary film about a woman who has reinvented herself in order to care for her family. Her life pivots on her work as a street vendor selling fried potatoes, but her hard work continues at home caring for a disabled husband and ailing daughter, Amira. Naji Ismail’s sensitive portrayal of Om Amira reminds us that genuine heroism is seldom glorified.
