| Description |
English: Malmo & Company Nursery in Seattle sold seeds and nursery stock, and also ran a successful landscaping business. Some of the mature yards surrounding historic Seattle homes were once the work of the Malmo Company. This photo shows the Garden Court building at 1631 Sixteenth Avenue in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood, built in 1929. Its garden courtyard, shown here, was designed by the Malmo company and included a reflecting pool surrounded by lush plantings of shrubs and flowers. As of 2013, the building houses the Garden Court Condominium, and its serene garden courtyard is a rare oasis in the bustling Capitol Hill neighborhood.
