Synopsis:
Is it always a good idea to confront our past? Perhaps we are not ready to handle the consequences. Toufic Khreish’s Troubled Waters poses such questions in his restive, elliptical, and haunting narrative short about a Lebanese man’s first visit home and a fateful meeting with his “once” father.

Filmmaker bio (from filmmaker):
Born and raised in South Lebanon, Khreich moved to Beirut for his university studies, graduating from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA) in 2003 with the short film “This is the Voice of the South”. Beside “Troubled Waters”, Khreich has directed a number of commercials and documentaries and has acted in many shorts. He is preparing to shoot his first feature Cold Coffee.
