Synopsis:
A man returns to Palestine and experiences what he had not expected—a vivid remembrance of a time before he left, involving brother, lover, and unborn child. “Though I Know the River is Dry” explores the intersection of collective memory and involuntary autobiography.

Filmmaker bio (from his website):
Omar Robert Hamilton is a filmmaker, producer of the Palestine Festival of Literature, and a founding member of the Mosireen Collective in Cairo. His short documentaries on the Egyptian Revolution have helped make Mosireen the most watched non-profit YouTube channel in Egypt. His films have appeared on the BBC, al Jazeera, and several domestic Egyptian channels. His articles and photographs have been published in the Guardian, Jadaliyya, the Economist, and elsewhere.
